Research services: Shopping Behaviour

Shopping behaviour research can help identify how customers buy your products. Our flexible research can be scaled to fit your budget and project requirements.

We can help contextualise how a brand is performing in relation to competitors. We also conduct thousands of exit interviews every year for a range of retailers; with the largest single project we’ve managed comprising nearly 50,000 interviews across 500 stores.

What we’re able to offer:

  • Focus groups
  • Accompanied shopping
  • Online surveys
  • Statistical/Data analysis
  • Sharing insight

How we do it:

  • Recruitment and sample definition from our own online in-house panel, Panelbase
  • Focus Group moderation
  • Discussion guide design to aid direction of the conversation
  • Pre and post shop interviewing

Path to purchase research:

We’re able to create a roadmap that tells you what shoppers are purchasing, where they’re purchasing it, when they’re purchasing it and how they’re purchasing it. Our research can look at the decisions shoppers are making both in-store and online. Areas that may be explored include product placement, promotions, pricing, experience, influences, loyalty, and consumption patterns.

“When researching product placement for Big Brother they used some new more innovative methodologies including eye tracking and neuroscience which enabled us to gain a detailed insight into the effectiveness of the campaign. Their understanding of TV research and the team’s enthusiasm and professionalism are invaluable and I have no hesitation in recommending their services to others.”
