Research methods: Telephone Interviews (CATI)

We have our own in-house telephone unit using specialist computer-aided telephone interviewing (CATI) software.

It’s a cost-effective way of reaching respondents across geography and demography, especially as our 90 CATI staff are trained to MRS standards to obtain information as efficiently and politely as possible. Telephone interviews are great for short questionnaires where respondents don’t need any visual stimuli, but they’re also ideal for longer, in-depth interviews, when we can probe for insightful and useful feedback.

Some things you might not know about our CATI services:

1) CPIs start from under £1 per minute of interview length:

Our rates really are competitive! Supply us with customer lists or we can source sample ourselves.

2) We provide live results:

You’re able to access live online toplines to monitor the progress of your project at any time.

3) Our CATI unit can operate 24/7:

So if you want to talk to customers at 3am we can help! We ensure you can speak to respondents at the right time, wherever they are.

4) All projects are Director-led:

Our Managing Director, Ivor Knox has personal oversight of all projects, from project design through to reporting.

“Public Knowledge are currently working with us on evaluating our Active Cyber Security Learning in a Vocation HE Setting project. Despite the complex subject matter Sophie and Angela were able to understand our needs and developed a first class and independent evaluation of the project. They have been extremely helpful, professional, flexible, and reliable throughout the process. We would not hesitate to recommend them and look forward to working with them on future projects.”
