Thursday Insights: TV’s impact on Lifestyle – Positives and Negatives

We’ve covered binge-watching in a previous email and with the Easter Bank Holiday only a day away, we can infer that TV consumption will be heavily influenced by the weather over the coming weekend. Bad weather will probably result in more favourable viewing figures, but if the sunshine does manage to break through the clouds, it could mean that people decide to make the most of the nice weather and leave the comfort of their own homes.

Weather’s impact on TV consumption is widely known, but it got us thinking about the impact watching TV can have on our lifestyles in general and if this impact is largely positive or negative. With this in mind, we wanted to explore whether respondents consider watching TV to be good or bad for them and if they generally perceive the activity from a more positive or negative viewpoint.
